The past year 2009-2010, the women of Calvary so enjoyed the study of the life of Paul. This summer we were blessed by the reading of the book 'Living Water' by Pastor Chuck Smith, a wonderful commentary on the Person of the Holy Spirit ad His ministry in our lives.
In the fall we will begin our study in the book of Acts. It will be so exciting to continue our learning experience of the Holy Spirit and His ministry in the early church. Even more we are so excited for what He has in store for each of us as we yield ourselves more fully to His precious work in our lives today!
Our vision as women of the Word at Calvary is to always continue after our Lord-to draw closer to Him every day-to live lives in complete abandonment and joy to His Word and Will for our lives. In so doing, we will find our peace in our callings as His handmaidens, whatever season of life we may be encountering.
We are living in the "last days" and the challenges we face as believers is growing in intensity. If ever we need the Person and work of the Holy Spirit in and upon our lives, it is now! We need His purifying work and His Presence to convict us of our sins! We need His loving power and His wisdom to stay the course, to love with His love, to hope when hope grows faint, and to keep fighting this fight of faith! (read more)
